Duncan Emmerson
Solicitor
Duncan joined DJMS in September 2012.
He qualified as a solicitor in 1995, obtaining his law degree from University College London and completing the Law Society Finals via Guildford College of Law.
Like all other DJMS solicitors, Duncan practices locally and nationally in Magistrates' Courts and attends police station interviews nationwide. He is a member of the Magistrates' Court and police station Duty Solicitor schemes.
He enjoys running in his limited spare time, having completed both the New York City and London Marathons and several Great North Runs. He also plays bass guitar in a heavy metal band and has performed all over the UK and Europe.
He is an avid supporter of Sunderland AFC and attends as many games as possible.
Duncan is married and has two grown-up children.
